Requirements

Must-haves

  • 4+ years of Data Engineering experience
  • Deep knowledge of Snowflake, including performance optimization, security configuration, and platform administration
  • Deep understanding of dbt development patterns, including macros, packages, and deployment workflows
  • Proficiency with Python for automation and development of internal engineering tools
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and practices (Buildkite)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Ability to design scalable, reliable, and secure data infrastructure
  • Ability to document technical solutions and promote engineering best practices
  • Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English

Nice-to-haves

What you will work on

  • Key responsibilities: platform maintenance & development, tooling & developer enablement, operational excellence & governance
  • Design and maintain the core data platform enabling scalable analytics and data product development with Snowflake and dbt
  • Develop and evolve the dbt Core development framework, standardizing project structure, macros, and deployment workflows
  • Manage and improve CI/CD pipelines for data transformation and testing to enhance reliability and deployment efficiency
  • Build and maintain infrastructure as code for the data platform using (Terraform), managing Snowflake resources and access policies
  • Create and maintain internal tools and utilities using Python to automate workflows and improve developer productivity
  • Operate and configure core data tooling across the platform (dbt, Airflow) through automated processes
  • Produce documentation, templates, and enablement resources to promote engineering best practices
  • Implement observability solutions for data pipelines, including monitoring, logging, and alerting
  • Optimize Snowflake performance and manage platform costs by guiding efficient data workflows
  • Design and implement automated governance controls aligned with organizational security and compliance standards
