Requirements
Must-haves
- 1+ years of professional experience
- LiDAR experience
- Experience working with terrestrial (ground-based) LiDAR data
- Familiarity with geospatial surveys
- Experience with GIS (e.g., ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS, QGIS)
- Ability to validate spatial datasets with strong attention to detail
- Deep knowledge of geospatial data concepts and coordinate systems
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geospatial Sciences, GIS, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
- Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English
Nice-to-haves
- Startup experience
- Experience with Python scripting and SQL
- Experience supporting transportation, roadway, infrastructure, utilities, or smart city projects
- Experience with digital twins or geospatial databases
- Background in transportation, smart cities, civil engineering, roadway infrastructure, utilities, geospatial technology, GIS consulting, or mapping technology
What you will work on
- Process and analyze LiDAR datasets captured on roadway scanning projects
- Build and validate high-precision geospatial surveys that underpin the client's digital twin platform
- Create the foundational geospatial datasets that power the platform
- Manage geospatial data in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS, QGIS)
- Validate, process, and analyze LiDAR and GIS data to build digital representations of roadway infrastructure for new transportation clients
- Support the integration of LiDAR data with transportation datasets (e.g., crash data, roadway information)
- Safeguard geospatial data quality, consistency, and accuracy
- Apply Python or SQL to support data processing and automation
- Partner with data engineers and product teams throughout customer onboarding
