Requirements
Must-haves
- 7+ years of software development experience
- 2+ years of experience in a technical lead role, including providing direction and overseeing the work of a small development team
- Strong experience in data systems, integrations, and cloud architecture
- Experience with Python for back-end and data development
- Experience with serverless development using AWS Lambda
- Experience with AWS services (e.g. Lambda, RDS, SNS, SQS, EventBridge)
- Experience with SQL querying and complex query performance tuning, including PostgreSQL and MS SQL
- Experience designing and managing workflow orchestration with Apache Airflow or similar tools
- Proficiency with data modeling and query performance optimization
- Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams
- Deep knowledge of cloud architectures for data systems and integrations
- Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English

- Experience working with large-scale data integration ecosystems
- Familiarity with additional AWS analytics or data engineering tools
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
What you will work on
- Develop and architect data integrations and ETL pipelines for a high-volume, cloud-based environment
- Design and maintain scalable serverless solutions for data processing and system integrity
- Write and review code for integrations with external vendors and data providers
- Lead and mentor a small team of engineers, guiding technical decisions and overall execution
- Conduct code reviews and uphold quality, security, and performance standards
- Support team members in strengthening technical skills and delivering high-quality work
- Improve the reliability, performance, and observability of data pipeline infrastructure
- Diagnose and resolve complex production issues in mission-critical environments
