Requirements

5+ years of software development experience
Strong proficiency with C#, .NET
Experience with SQL (Microsoft SQL Server)
Back-end oriented background building and maintaining APIs, services, and data-access layers within established, potentially complex systems
Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Claude Code)
Experience with Git or a similar version-control system
Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams
Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teammates
Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English

Ownership from development through production

Solid professional experience developing software with C# and .NET.
Doesn't simply code a ticket and hand it off.
Takes responsibility for getting work through development → code review → QA → deployment → production.
Demonstrates a history of reliably delivering assigned work and following through on commitments.

Strong communication & collaboration

Communicates proactively with teammates, Product, and QA.
Raises blockers rather than going quiet when stuck.
Comfortable asking questions and seeking help when working through unfamiliar or complex systems.
Communicates early when an issue could affect delivery.

AI-assisted development

Experience using AI-assisted software development tools such as Claude Code or similar platforms.
Understands how to use AI tools responsibly to improve development and testing productivity.

Startup experience
Experience with Microsoft Azure is preferred (AWS or another cloud platform is also valuable)
Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices
Front-end experience (React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS)
Experience in troubleshooting and supporting production applications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent

Build, maintain, and troubleshoot backend applications using C#, .NET
Design and implement backend services, APIs, and database interactions
Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedure,s and database logic using Microsoft SQL Server
Own assigned tasks from development through code review, QA, deployme,nt and release
Troubleshoot and resolve application and production issues
Support production deployments and assist when issues come up
Independently own small-to-medium backend features and fixes
Write clean, maintainable code that passes peer review
Quickly become productive within the existing codebase and development environment
Take part in two-week Agile/Scrum sprints, including planning, estimation, stand,ups and retrospectives
Prioritize and execute a backlog of feature requests, enhancem,ents and bug fixes within sprint cycles
Collaborate closely with engineers, Product O,wners and QA
Take part in peer code reviews and technical discussions
Communicate proactively on progress, blockers,, risks and timelines
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based deployment practices
Use AI-assisted tools to improve development and testing workflows
Work within a Microsoft-based tech stack, relational databases, cloud infrast,ructure and modern development tooling
