Requirements
Must-haves
- 4+ years of Data Engineering experience
- Deep knowledge of Snowflake, including performance optimization, security configuration, and platform administration
- Deep understanding of dbt development patterns, including macros, packages, and deployment workflows
- Proficiency with Python for automation and development of internal engineering tools
- Experience with CI/CD tools and practices (Buildkite)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Ability to design scalable, reliable, and secure data infrastructure
- Ability to document technical solutions and promote engineering best practices
- Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English
Nice-to-haves
- Startup experience
- Experience with Terraform
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
What you will work on
- Key responsibilities: platform maintenance & development, tooling & developer enablement, operational excellence & governance
- Design and maintain the core data platform enabling scalable analytics and data product development with Snowflake and dbt
- Develop and evolve the dbt Core development framework, standardizing project structure, macros, and deployment workflows
- Manage and improve CI/CD pipelines for data transformation and testing to enhance reliability and deployment efficiency
- Build and maintain infrastructure as code for the data platform using (Terraform), managing Snowflake resources and access policies
- Create and maintain internal tools and utilities using Python to automate workflows and improve developer productivity
- Operate and configure core data tooling across the platform (dbt, Airflow) through automated processes
- Produce documentation, templates, and enablement resources to promote engineering best practices
- Implement observability solutions for data pipelines, including monitoring, logging, and alerting
- Optimize Snowflake performance and manage platform costs by guiding efficient data workflows
- Design and implement automated governance controls aligned with organizational security and compliance standards
