Requirements
Must-haves
- 8+ years of IT experience, including 4+ years in solution architecture
- Proficiency with Python for application development
- Experience with AWS services (compute, storage, networking, security)
- Strong understanding of relational databases and data modeling (SQL Server)
- Experience designing and delivering complex systems and integrations in an enterprise
- environments
- Experience with design patterns, API design (REST), and microservices architecture
- Ability to influence both technical and business stakeholders
- Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English
Nice-to-haves
- Startup experience
- Experience with Azure
- Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert)
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines
- Exposure to enterprise data platforms, analytics, or BI systems
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
What you will work on
- This is a full-time role (40 hours/week) for a 7-12 month contract.
- Lead the design of scalable, secure, and reliable solutions across application, data, and cloud layers
- Translate business requirements into technical architecture by collaborating with stakeholders
- Evaluate and recommend tools, frameworks, and platforms aligned with project and organizational needs
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to engineering teams during development, integration, and deployment
- Ensure adherence to architectural best practices, including performance optimization, high availability, and disaster recovery
- Create and maintain architecture documentation, including diagrams, technical specifications, and data flows
- Align solution designs with enterprise architecture standards and governance
