Requirements
Must-haves
- 5+ years of experience as a back-end engineer
- Proficiency in Node.js
- Experience with e-commerce or marketplace platforms
- Experience with headless content
- Experience setting up and managing relational and NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with React for frontend-backend integration
- Familiarity with authentication protocols and security best practices
- Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English
- Availability to start immediately and commit to the project for at least one month
Nice-to-haves
- Startup experience
- Experience deploying mobile applications (React Native)
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) like Sanity or similar
- Familiarity with Shopify integration and API usage
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
What you will work on
This is a full-time role (40 hours/week) for a 1-2-month contract.
Coordination will primarily be done during Pacific Time business hours.
- Develop APIs and integrate with frontend components built in React
- Establish pipelines for data management and content distribution
- Integrate a headless content management system (e.g. Sanity)
- Implement authentication and user management systems
- Set up and deploy backend infrastructure
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth integration with the existing frontend codebase
