Requirements
Must-haves
- 6+ years of software development experience
- Experience with Ruby on Rails
- Experience with React, TypeScript
- Experience with relational databases including PostgreSQL, MariaDB
- Proficiency with test-driven development, unit testing, automated testing frameworks
- Proficiency with Git and modern development workflows
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English
Nice-to-haves
- Startup experience
- Experience with healthcare system integrations, including Athena, Epic
- Experience with AI or ML tools and frameworks in production environments
- Interest in functional programming using Elm
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
What you will work on
- Design, develop, and maintain web-oriented applications using Ruby on Rails, React, and TypeScript
- Collaborate with product stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions aligned with user requirements
- Identify performance improvements, refactor existing codebases, and drive initiatives to reduce technical debt
- Guide and support less experienced engineers while encouraging knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
- Contribute to the evolution and adoption of Scrum and Agile methodologies within the team
- Evaluate and suggest new tools, frameworks, and technologies aligned with the product roadmap
