Must-haves
- 5+ years of experience as a designer
- Proficiency in Figma and experience with design systems like Shopify Polaris
- Strong experience in user-centered design and a portfolio showcasing UX/UI projects
- Ability to conduct and analyze user research, translating insights into actionable designs
- Strong attention to detail
- Passion for creating user-friendly designs
- Commitment to continuous improvement and sharing knowledge within the team
- Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g. NextJS, Tailwind)
- Startup experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
What you will work on
- Design intuitive user interfaces and engaging user experiences using Figma
- Develop and maintain design systems, including Shopify Polaris, ensuring design consistency
- Conduct user research to inform design decisions and validate them through usability testing
- Create mockups, prototypes, and wireframes to effectively communicate design concepts
- Ensure designs adhere to our branding and accessibility standards
- Lead design critiques, showcase works in progress, and incorporate feedback
- Centralize and analyze customer feedback to drive design improvements
- Define product needs and measure design impact on user experience and collaboration
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality designs
