What you will work on
- Our design-to-development workflow starts in Figma, where pages are designed, and then piped into WordPress using AI (Claude Code)
- Responsible for reviewing, correcting, and refining that AI-generated code — not to build every page from a blank file
- Check the AI's output against the original Figma designs, fix what it gets wrong, make direct edits to our theme, and occasionally build custom page templates yourself when the workflow calls for it. In this role, you will:
- Review WordPress code generated by AI (Claude Code) for correctness, structure, and adherence to best practices before it ships
- Debug and fix issues in AI-generated PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Compare implemented pages against Figma files and correct any deviations, aiming for pixel-level accuracy
- Make direct edits to our theme and child theme(s) — templates, functions, styles
- Build custom WordPress page templates from Figma designs when needed
- Diagnose plugin conflicts, performance bottlenecks, and general site health issues
- Apply on-page SEO and responsive design best practices in markup and templates
- Work within our existing multi-brand, multi-subdomain WordPress environment (WPVIP-hosted)
- Communicate clearly and asynchronously in English about what you found, fixed, and why
