Engineering talent accepted to the Strider platform first go through a rigorous vetting process of 8+ hours which tests soft skills, technical skills, and English ability. The result is that you get to meet talented engineers without having to dedicate internal resources to sourcing and screening.

The engineers on Strider's platform are based remotely in Latin America, on American time zones, making it easy to collaborate. With a fast-growing market of 1.3+ million engineers in Latin America, it is becoming the premier location to grow a talent base and build digital products.

OUR HISTORY

Bridging the gap between the top international companies and top international talent

Strider was founded by entrepreneurs Neal Kemp and Nicole Barra Conde. Neal and Nicole previously built international HR and operations out together at Y Combinator backed GovPredict (acquired by Capitol Canary) where Neal was Co-founder & CTO and Nicole led recruiting and international operations.

After their company was acquired, the two set off to solve the problem they saw on the market, the disconnect between the top international companies and remote engineering talent. This problem was getting larger every day due to the proliferation of remote work due to the pandemic. It’s a problem that companies of all sizes and job seekers all across the world experience.

On one side, companies have a hard time finding and hiring international tech talent because of the differences in job markets from country to country and the sheer number of new markets that are now open to them for remote roles. On the other side, job seekers have a hard time sorting through the multitude of opportunities open to them and finding the best one. Strider's hiring platform brings companies and job seekers together for a win-win scenario.

CEO & Co-founder

Neal is an accomplished engineer and entrepreneur. Prior to Strider, he was the VP of Engineering at Capitol Canary, which he joined when they acquired GovPredict, a Y Combinator backed company he co-founded as CTO. Earlier in his career, he co-founded Women.com which was backed by top investors such as Y Combinator, Lowercase Capital, and Greylock Partners. He has built engineering organizations from initiation to scale with both domestic and international talent. Neal has a BA in Computer Science from Claremont McKenna College.

Nicole Barra Conde

COO & Co-founder

Nicole is a psychologist and operations expert who has a passion for helping people and organizations achieve their best. As the first operations hire at GovPredict, she established the company's HR and recruiting functions and helped them expand their engineering presence in Brazil. Prior to that, she worked as a language educator for both Brazilians and international travelers. Nicole has a technical degree in Computer Networks from CEFET-MG and a BA in Psychology from the Federal University of Minas Gerais.

CTO

Breno is a software development leader focused on building delightful product experiences for customers. Breno has experience building and scaling products in areas such as public affairs, fintech, and food delivery. He was an early hire at Y Combinator-backed GovPredict where he helped shape the product and grow Brazilian engineering operations. He also lead a team of engineers in building the product of the first brokerage firm in Brazil founded and built from scratch by a Fintech. Breno has a BS with Honors in Information Systems from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais.

Tayane Gutierrez

Head of People

Tayane has extensive Human Resources leadership experience in both Brazilian and US companies across many verticals such as healthcare, finance, and technology. Prior to joining Strider, she served as Head of People and Culture at WHF where she was responsible for developing a long-term people vision. Before that, Tayane was Director of HR at GovPredict, overseeing global human resources and operating its Brazilian subsidiary. Tayane holds a BA in Psychology from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora and an MBA in People Management from the Granbery Methodist Institute.
